E3 Development partnered with the New Bedford Development Corporation, an affiliate of the New Bedford Housing Authority, to create new affordable and workforce housing in the heart of New Bedford’s historic downtown. The One Custom House Square project combines new construction with the renovation of the historically significant Moby Dick Chandler building to create 45 units of much-needed rental housing and ground floor retail in a strategic downtown location. The redevelopment brings activity back to a long-vacant block of Union Street and will support the on-going transformation of New Bedford’s historic downtown as a vibrant, mixed-use environment.
